Community Engagement Officer

Kite & Key is looking for a senior- or junior-level marketer who is passionate about the power of digital media, promotional outreach, earned media relations, and community engagement. To apply, you must send your resumé, cover letter (required), and favorite Kite & Key video to [email protected].

This position is full-time remote or hybrid.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee (develop, maintain, refine, and adapt) comprehensive promotional outreach plans for the brand and for each major video release
  • Research and liaise with partners willing to promote video content for the sake of cultivating third-party validation, content consumption, and audience acquisition
  • Establish and foster positive, trusted relationships with existing and prospective influencers; have overall ownership of the influencer marketing budget and optimize the mix to achieve organizational targets
  • Oversee a small team of in-house and external staffers to coordinate outreach pitches for each major video release
  • Brainstorm ways to tap into valuable coalitions and networks
  • Identify gaps to better serve target audiences (including those living on platforms the brand is not yet on) and help shape the multi-year product strategy across platforms 
  • Assess new opportunities for content distribution, partnerships, and/or syndication
  • Work closely with marketing and fundraising team to manage community program
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop proprietary measurement frameworks for influencer programs

Experience and skills:

  • Several years of experience in media relations, influencer, and/or partnerships space
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential nature
  • An analytical and data-driven marketer with a strong background in performance marketing metrics (CPM, CPA, CPV, ROAS)
  • A creative and strategic thinker with enthusiasm to proactively present learnings and suggest new ideas
  • Knowledgeable about the influencer marketing industry, trends, and best practices
  • Hard-working, self-motivated, and passionate about public policy
  • Ability to identify and tap into new in-market audiences 
  • Experience overseeing influencer content creation, distribution, and campaign optimization based on platform, partner-type, and messaging
  • Experience flexing between strategic and tactical responsibilities 

Salary range is highly dependent on past experience and qualifications. For 3-5 years, the junior role could range from $40,000-$70,000/year. For 5-10+ years, the senior role could range from $80,000-$100,000/year.
